Dr. John Funnell Bike Journey, post 2
Apache Junction
Lot’s of variety yesterday. Rolling roads in high desert with wide variety of flora as we rode into mountains and diverse rock formations over 4000 ft of climbing. Pleasant low 80’s temperature and wind at our back from Baja. At top of climb we were at “”top of the
World” which has extensive cooper mines. Miami is an old mining town and fron the storefront picture it’ best days are long gone. On my bike is a bottle of red wine
To enjoy with dinner after a long ride . We were taking a break along our ride and truck driver stopped and gave us much-appreciated bottles of ice cold water!
